FUNDING NEEDS - MEDICAL CASES
Dottie is an 10-year-old female pom. Dottie came from a backyard unregistered breeder in California. She was apprehended by animals services. Although her tumors were removed the cancer is still present and is not spreading. Her quality of life remains good with proper management and she is in good spirits.
Current care, including special diet - $250.00 (per month)
UPDATE: Megan was seen by the Care Centre for a consult, they didn't think an MRI was necessary. They determined that she may have been born this way or have survived distemper at some point in her life. She will be tested for Hipatic encephalopathy, which is treatable. For now he suggested keeping an eye on her for a couple months to watch for changes.
Megan arrived on March 25th from California; she is a 3yr old chi-terrier mix. Megan has exhibited some odd behavior so we've done some blood work and xrays but nothing obvious is showing up. We are waiting for a referral to the Care Centre to evaluate her condition and possibly have an MRI and additional testing to determine what could be the issue.
An MRI and consult is about $3000 and we aren't sure what other testing may be suggested.
Megan is a sweet girl and we'd love to help her live a long and happy life.
