Volunteer Positions
Fur-ever Homes Rescue is 100% volunteer run. Currently the rescue is looking for fill the following volunteer positions within the rescue. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information please send us an email at volunteers@fur-everhomesrescue.com.
WestJet Employees
We are looking for WestJet employees to transport dogs from LAX, Palm Springs & Mexico. Donations of buddy passes would also be very helpful. Please send us an email.
International Flight Escorts
We are looking for volunteers flying on WestJet directly from LAX, Palm Springs & Mexico (Cabo). The rescue will cover all costs related to transporting the dogs, provide kennels and handle all paperwork required. Please contact us if you are flying from one of these destinations.
Board members
The rescue is governed by a volunteer board of directors, this is an important part of the rescues continued success. We are currently seeking 1-2 board directors that would join our current board.
Position Type: Board Director
Requirements: Attend board meetings and AGM.
vOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATOR
We are seeking an experienced administrator to assist with record keeping and bookkeeping.
Position Type: Can vary depending on tasks.
Requirements: Must have professional experience with record keeping, bookkeeping or accounting.
Community Programs Committee
Fur-ever Homes is launching several new community initiative programs and are looking for volunteers to fill these roles. Some of the roles are currently defined and some will be brand new and will require volunteer that are organized and can take charge.
Current programs include: food assistance program, spay/neuter assistance program.
Fundraising Committee
We are looking for volunteers with experience or passion in fundraising. The position will involve working with a team to plan and execute fundraising events. This will also include contacting companies and individuals to donate items to silent auctions, etc.
Transport Volunteers
(local Calgary and area)
We are looking for individuals able to transport dogs/supplies as needed. You would be added to an email list and you would receive email request as needed.
As part of our food assistance program, we will be asking these volunteers to help with drop off of dog food throughout Calgary. If you have a truck or SUV that can be used for transport, this is a great asset for us.
